Who is this guy? 

Owen is an Illustrator, living and working in the city of Bristol, in the South West of England.

Right, another illustrator then? 

Over his 15 year career, he has worked with some of the BIGGEST and smallest clients across publishing, editorial, branding and advertising. His graphic work stands out with its distinct personality - lush colour palettes and textures, playful line work, and an engaging, human warmth and humour that draws the viewer in.

He artfully serves up tasty, often indulgent, illustration morsels around the themes of travel, lifestyle, food, human connection and the natural world. Lush landscapes, polished portraits, characterful er.. characters - he can almost do it all. As at home depicting people and pets in whimsical lifestyle scenarios as he is creating intricate, transportive maps for exotic locations across the globe. 

Oof! Okay. Consider my appetite whetted. So.. like, what’s he into?

What inspires his work, you mean? Hard to say specifically. Life, he supposes. But he does really love the fine work of golden age illustrators, designers and comic book artists of the mid-twentieth century and old time Appalachian banjo.

Hmm. Not sure about all of that, but sure. What’s he trying to do? 

If he had a mission statement with his work, it would probably be something like: To humbly spread joy, encourage community, empower individuals and inspire adventure across the lands.
